1. Shop Assistant

We are looking for a hands-on Shop Assistant & Curtain Installer to join our team. This role focuses on preparing curtains and soft furnishings, completing orders, assisting with installations, and supporting daily shop operations. The ideal candidate should be practical, reliable, and willing to work both in the shop and on-site installations.
This position is ideal for someone who has a genuine passion for fabrics, textiles, crafting, or interior design.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and finishing curtains and soft furnishings
- Measuring, cutting, and organising fabrics
- Assisting with completing customer orders
- Packing and preparing orders for collection or delivery
- Preparing curtain rails, rods, brackets, and accessories for installation
- Checking orders to ensure all components are complete and ready
- Assisting with curtain installations on-site
- Assisting with stock control and organising materials
- Keeping the shop and workspace clean and well organised
- Supporting day-to-day business operations
Essential Skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work confidently with measurements
- Practical, hands-on skills
- Organised and efficient
- Reliable and punctual
- Good English communication skills
- Genuine interest in fabrics, textiles, crafting, or interior styling
Preferred (but not essential)
- Sewing or crafting experience
- Previous retail, workshop, or installation experience
- Interest in interior design or soft furnishings
- Comfortable working both in the shop and on-site
